In 2023, Chef John, along with May St. Onge opened Smash Daddy’s Burgers, an American-style restaurant with chef-crafted smash burgers and more in Chiang Mai, and now they are bringing their Chef crafted, American smash burgers, and house-made sauces and pickles to see if they the Phuket Burgers are better than Chiang Mai Burgers.

From the look of their burger, the title could be going to Chiang Mai.

Dubbed “The Golden Boy,” this gold-coated burger overtook the world record for the most expensive of its kind. Previously, the burger that held this record was a 777lb burger out of Juicys Outlaw Grill in Corvallis, Oregon.

De Daltons, a high-end restaurant outside of Amsterdam in The Netherlands, was selling The Golden Boy in the summer of 2021. Robbert Jan de Veen, the owner of De Daltons, stated, “I decided to create the world’s most expensive burger and donate the entire income to charity
The Golden Boy features handmade, pretzel-style buns that are caked in gold as well as some of the world’s most tender A5 Waygu meat.
The ingredients of this masterpiece are unique, yet flow together seamlessly:

The fictional Simpsons hangout was so popular that it became a real-life restaurant in 2013, when Universal Studios Orlando opened a Simpsons theme park.

No visit to Springfield would be complete without stopping by Krusty the Clown’s famous burger joint. Chomp into a Krusty-certified meat sandwich, including the legendary Krusty Burger, Clogger Burger, the Ribwich, or a Sideshow Bob Foot Long. Afterwards, wash it all down with the fizzy refreshment of an authentic Buzz Cola—it’s like a seltzer blast in the face.

When the @21club introduced its gourmet burger in the late 1940s or early 1950s, New Yorkers were shocked that an upper-class establishment would offer something as lowly as the burger—and at the exorbitant price of $2.75, compared with McDonald’s’ 15 cents. Nevertheless, it was a hit. “The [higher quality] beef did make a difference,” says Andrew F. Smith, author of Hamburger: A Global History, “and it certainly was something very different than simply fast food.”

A Jucy Lucy (or Juicy Lucy) is a stuffed cheeseburger with the cheese inside of the meat instead of on top, resulting in a melted core of cheese.

The burger is prepared by putting cheese between two patties of meat, then sealing both patties around the cheese to create a single patty with a cheese core. As the burger cooks, the cheese inside melts. This has the effect of keeping the meat near the center of the burger very juicy. It also separates the cheese from the bun, resulting in a slightly different texture than the usual cheeseburger.

Two bars in Minneapolis claim to have invented the burger, while other local bars and restaurants have created their own interpretations of the style. Matt's Bar and the 5-8 Club.
